Juvenile issues often overlap with educational issues, and the results range from truancy to unjustified suspension or expulsion. As an education lawyer, Ms. Dragotta works tirelessly to see that every child receives an appropriate education in the least restrictive setting and that the rights of children and young adults are protected within the educational and juvenile systems.
An educator herself and still active in special education, Ms. Dragotta conducts in-service consulting and prepares expert reports for law firms, corporations, and schools in the area of education law. She presently serves as General Counsel for AWB Consultants, Inc., for a state-of-the-art children's center in the Germantown area of Philadelphia. She was instrumental in achieving a child day care license for the center through the Department of Public Welfare, was the center's first director, and acted as its education consultant. Recently, Ms. Dragotta served as General Counsel for a limited liability company. Through her efforts, the managing partners earned a private school license for nurse aide education.
